Part 33 - Wait
Waiting for things is not something I like very much. I learnt it in my twenties to some degree, when I waited for a job I was promised for 2 years. You may ask how that happened, but God uses all things for good.
Waiting is not something I like. I prefer things to happen on my time scale. But in the Bible the Lord invites us to wait for him. Psalm 130:5- 'I wait for the Lord, my soul waits and in his word I put my hope.' Waiting for the Lord is a good thing, because we know that we will find him. He has promised that.
We are all in a time of waiting at the moment; to see family, take up opportunities, resume ordinary life. Let's mix this time with a healthy dose of waiting on the Lord, because we know he does not disappoint, and will minister to every need. The gospel helps us wait and so meditate on his self giving love and the cross. Jesus will come to us in our need.
A song you might like to use to reflect on this:
