Part 44 - God's Will

“If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:15

I don’t think anyone could have anticipated the events of 2020, and the global impact of the Coronavirus on the planet. It seems beyond our wildest comprehension that such a small thing as a virus, unseen by the naked eye, could have such devastating effects on each individual person in the world. There is the anticipation of how many have died each day, and, above all, if it one of our loved ones, included in the list. We face this unknown daily, and it make one anxious due to the uncertainty of health, work, income, family and our basic daily needs.

The one thing the coronavirus has given us, is the gift to be grateful for the basic necessities of living; a roof over our head, heat in the winter, hot running water from the tap, and food from the grocery store, and companionship of others.

As a Christian, we know that all of these gifts are from God. The book of James reminds us that we are foolish to forget who the giver of tomorrows is, God, and that we should be careful not to forget HIM in all of our plans. Each morning, as we awaken from our sleep, we should thank God for another day to enjoy HIS many blessings and to stand back and watch the plans HE has for us today!! We should be very clear, “if it is the Lord’s will, we will do…”
